GOVERNMENT HOUSE,

HONGKONG.

27th. January, 1913.

With reference to previous correspondence on

the subject of the boycott of the Travay I am glad to be able to inform you that the improvement already reported is being well maintained.

The takings on the cars yesterday (Sunday the 26th. instant) amounted to 8967 which is only about $300 less than the average in January last year when the takings were, owing to the large influx of Chinese, rather exceptionally high.

I have the honour to be,

Sir,

Your most obedient,

humble servant,

Атад

Governor,&c..

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE

LEWIS HARCOURT, M.P.,
